A list of my projects, work and internships 

December 2023 - Present 

The Access Project - Senior University Access Officer 

  • Facilitated dynamic workshops for over 80 students across two schools, enhancing their understanding of UCAS applications and university pathways through tailored mentoring.

  • Managed the recruitment and training of [X number] Oxbridge alumni volunteers, ensuring they were well-equipped to engage effectively in Society programmes.

  • Monitored and evaluated student progress, implementing targeted interventions in underperforming Midlands schools, which resulted in increased student engagement.

  • Additionally, served as a media liaison for the Communications team, creating strategic assets that significantly improved programme visibility and strengthened connections with local schools.

June 2023 - January 2024

University of South Wales - Volunteer Research Assistant

  • Developed robust research skills in the literature review, data analysis, and quantitative methods under the supervision of Dr. Martin Graff, with a focus on online dating.

  • Designed a preliminary study on a Love Scale to explore gender differences in heterosexual relationships, utilising tools like Qualtrics for data collection and analysis.

Feb 2023 - June 2023

University of Nottingham - Nightline Listening Volunteer 

  • Completed a six-week training programme covering key issues including academic stress, relationships, abuse, self-harm, and suicide.  

  • Dedicated over 50 hours to providing empathetic support to students, actively listening to and understanding their challenges to ensure they felt heard and supported.

March 2023 - May 2023

BREASTAid, Nottingham - Digital Media Marketing Specialist

  • Conducted extensive research using academic articles to distil complex scientific concepts related to breast cancer into accessible content.

  • Interacted with followers through user-focused content, direct messages, comments, and Facebook groups to foster community engagement.

  • Analysed user reactions to health-related content, leveraging feedback from analytics to address health anxieties, achieving an engagement rate of over 44.4%.

  • Collaborated with breast cancer survivors and stakeholders to craft compelling narratives that resonate with the audience.

October 2022 - December 2022

University of Nottingham - Volunteer Research Assistant

  • Worked under Dr Nikki Dean-Marshall on a thematic analysis of Online dating culture and ghosting motivations as a contributor to the paper.

  • Analysed 12 interviews to identify key motivations behind ghosting behaviours, contributing insights to the paper on Online dating culture.

  • Organized and maintained a comprehensive library of resources for the research project, including peer-reviewed articles, online forums, and popular media.

Sept 2021 - Aug 2022

Stoa - Senior Content Strategy

  • Worked on the marketing end to generate leads by creating content at the top of the funnel.

  • Took Instagram from 2k followers to 10.4k organically by writing, shooting and editing content.

  • Worked on newsletter based on psychology for the community of learners.

  • Worked on newsletter to generate community building within facilitators who taught at Stoa

  • Ghostwriting on LinkedIn

  • Copywriting emails, and designing posters, and editing videos for internal purposes. 

  • Worked as event photographer and videographer for several Stoa events.
